We're expanding our development team and are looking for a great QA person to join our efforts. This is a critical role as we continue to grow.

The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for testing the function and ergonomics of our suite of software products. We are looking for someone with a proven track record of contributing to quality (prevention) and test (detection) activities. In addition, knowledge of software QA methodologies, practices and processes as well as a strong desire to advance their knowledge and experience in these areas. This is a new role and the first position fully dedicated to Quality Assurance. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Test new software features, integrations, and the User Experience (UI) to ensure integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and technical specifications.
  • Make recommendations for improvements in functionality, UI, and compliance.
  • Liase between development and customer support on QA issues.
  • Log and track issues and provide feedback to developers.
  • Performs regression testing during each iteration to confirm the health and stability of the system.
  • Assists in developing automated regression tests.
  • Assist in the definition and implementation of quality standards, processes and quality improvement programs.

Skills

  • 5+ years experience in a Quality Assurance role, preferably in a SaaS product environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in defining and executing test cases for business systems. development, integration and implementation projects.
  • Demonstrated experience working in iterative development, or agile environments.
  • Ability to formulate test plans, execute test plans and communicate the results to a technical audience.
  • Ability to understand end user issues and quickly determine steps to reproduce an issue.
  • Excellent analytical, problem identification and problem solving skills.
  • Customer focused, sensitive to customer needs, their critical business cycles and schedules.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with other organizations and influence people outside of an authority relationship.
  • Ability to work at a detailed level and quickly learn business application-specific details.

Job requirements:

  • Experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira or similar
  • Experience testing SaaS applications
  • Minimum of 4-5  years work experience in technical role
  • Internet/online advertising industry experience is a plus
  • Positive, self-starter attitude and desire to exceed client expectations at every opportunity
  • Attention to detail and absolute focus on quality of work
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
