Austin startup looking to hire a Web designer

Squarecap Inc. is a bootstrapped and ambitious company in the education technology space with a mission to improve the educational experience for students and teachers in and out of the classroom. 

We want to build a long term relationship with a web and mobile designer who can help take our products to the next level by delivering an experience our users would love.  We are at an early enough stage that this person will have a significant impact in shaping and building our product(s). 

Here are the broad responsibilities: 
* Develop intuitive and engaging user interfaces by working closely with our users 
* Conceive, manage, and lead screen designs from start to finish 
* Initiate and respond to ideas for innovation/improvements based on user feedback 
* Create design deliverables such as specifications, work flows and mock-ups 
* Collaborate with team members to synthesize and incorporate feedback with a user-centered focus

Basic Qualifications 
* Bachelor's degree or higher 
* Solid understanding of user experience design for mobile and the web, technology trends, demonstrable design skills, and ability to show relevant work 
* A team player with good communication skills

This position will start off being hourly and has the potential to transition to a full time role with salary and equity in 3 months.
