to Refresh Austin Jobs

We are looking for an energetic and collaborative designer to help us with a mix of projects that range a full revamp of all of our print collateral to new PowerPoint and email newsletter templates. While we aren’t looking to rebrand or reinvent our style guide, we do want to see it reimplemented so that it is brighter, more inviting and consistent across all of our materials. We need someone who thinks of design systems that can be documented and consistently applied to new and updated material.

Please note, you must be located in Austin and able to meet in person as needed.

The initial set of work includes:

  • Marketing Material Templates - Design and develop a set of templates for conference materials that can be quickly updated and customized. Each template should be documented so content creators know how much content to write for it (word count overall and for specific areas like titles, or pull outs etc.) and how many images can be customized.

  • Redesign existing marketing collateral to match the new template patterns. Initially, we’ll have 6 - 8 one page brochures (two sided)

  • New PowerPoint template in two aspect ratios (16:9, 4:3)

  • Email newsletter templates

  • A clear style guide that will allow our team to make simple updates without deviating from the established standards

Future projects may include

  • A library of PowerPoint slides and assets that can be pulled together for new and modified presentations

  • Items for trade shows, t-shirts and other branded physical items

  • A website refresh

  • New materials including a logo for a rebranded product, that are consistent with our existing standards

This project will start with a significant amount of work as we work through new templating systems and concepts and then apply them to existing material. Once that work is complete, we expect to have a smaller amount of ongoing work for the foreseeable future, as we prepare for conferences and craft new content.

If this sounds interesting, please send an email to al...@activeprospect.com with a link to your portfolio, your rates, how you like to work (hourly vs. project) and general availability. If your work is not public, please let us know in the email and we can schedule time for you to walk through it in person.
