why can I not see the same plugins as my co-worker?

My co-worker logs into the backend of our new RefineryCMS installation and in the backend they see tabs for:
Files
Images
Users
Pages
Videos
Categories
When I log in I see:
Files
Images
Users
Pages
This is true even we use the same URL on the same server and we use the same login credentials. What would cause one set of tabs to appear for him, but not for me?

Your user account may not have access / their account may be the "superuser" (first user created); try editing your user in the Users tab and seeing what you have available.
