redis service on redhat ?

Hello,

following the https://redis.io/topics/quickstart tutorial

I cant install the service on a redhat box

sudo update-rc.d redis_6379 defaults
sudo: update-rc.d: command not found

sudo chkconfig redis_6379 on
service redis_6379 does not support chkconfig

is there no predefined script somewhere for redhat ?

ok I found I had to user install-server.sh

now why is the script not finding redis sserver dist ?? had to provide it with the path
so far so good
