redis KeepAlive option.

Hi ,

 I am using hiredis-vip redis client for my application and would like to know about keep alive options. I have set "tcp-keepalive 30" in redis.conf.

Do I also need to enable the same from clients as well? hiredis-vip provides redisEnableKeepAlive function but its not clear if application needs to invoke this function or its implicit invocation of this function in hiredis-vip.
