Is 'instantaneous_ops_per_sec' is OP/Sec or throughput of Redis

Hi All,

I have a doubt related to 'instantaneous_ops_per_sec' from INFO command.

Is this says about the OP/Sec of Redis.

If This is , then , if I take a difference of 'total_commands_processed' from current time and (current time -1 sec) , the result is no where close.

Can any one please help me on this.

Instantaneous is not the long term average, which is what you are calculating. This is why they differ. If you want the exact calculation consult the source in github.
