Tell Redcar to get focus (on Mac OS X)

Hiya

I'm switching between the most used applications with the function
keys F1, F2 etc by use of BetterTouchTool (http://blog.boastr.net).
TextMate is still on F3, but since I'm mostly on Redcar now, I'd like
to change that. Turns out this isn't so trivial.

BetterTouchTool can "open an application / file / script", so I could
write a shell script which tells the Redcar process to gain focus. Is
there a way to do that?
