G'day all,

I was wondering what versions of RIF-CS people support with their ReDBox/Mint implementations?
Has anybody crafted a v1.6 version of the RIF template as yet?

Regards,
Christopher

Hi Christopher,

We are still on ReDBox 1.6.1 with I believe RIF-CS version 1.3.

Hope to upgrade when the time allows.

Cheers,

Vladimir

We are using a modified 1.4 - the out of the box rif.vm does not export tags like 'hasPart' or 'PartOf' which is mandatory for us, as we need to export to ANDS.  Using the standard one means all those tags are lost.  It has a number of problems :)

Just to add to what Timothy said regarding rifcs related objects...

From my experience with ReDBox 1.6.1, I believe the main issue regarding rifcs elements like 'hasPart' or 'PartOf' is the issue I reported at https://github.com/redbox-mint/redbox/issues/61

For anyone who is considering applying the fudge to datasets.py (as documented in the issue) -- I strongly recommend you do not run this in production until you have tested the quirky behaviour in a test environment first and are happy to migrate such a version into production. The above URL documents the problems which I discovered but perhaps there are others!

(The modified 1.4 rif.vm template Timothy is referring to is probably something like https://github.com/redbox-mint-contrib/config-samples/blob/master/ReDBox/Metadata%20templates/rif14.vm)

Hope this helps.
Cheers, Grant
