G'day all,

Just wondering if anybody had a quick answer to this question?
Who can edit a draft record?
Is it only the person who creates the record or can they assign somebody else?

I am talking about self submission records here.

If it is only the person who creates the record - to change that, is the only thing you need to change the TF-OBJ-META file "owner=" line?

Regards,
Christopher

Hi Christopher,

There are 2 methods a user can get the privileges to edit a record:

  1. Role based: In the case of self submission records users with the admin role can edit
  2. Owner can edit: with this option the owner of the record can edit it even though they don't satisfy the role permissions. This is the case for self-submission records
Obviously check the configuration settings in your build against the default "core" configuration but changing the owner should be the only thing you need to do.

Thanks,
Andrew
