Release Plan for ReDBox 1.7

Hi all,

I've started drafting some release notes for our 1.7 release of ReDBox and Mint. It's not an exhaustive list yet, just things that have been completed or are currently on the radar. If there's something I've missed please let me know. For the larger enhancements (in particular the curation manager enhancement), we will be writing up our plans and will share it with the community for feedback.

Note that there will be more issues assigned to these milestones in GitHub. Let us know if there are any in the lists that you would like fixed in particular.

Any details on the file upload would be appreciated.

I'm also very interested in hearing about the performance changes made to the curation manager, given the issues I've had with it previously.

Hi Chris,

The ReDBox 1.7 release actually has been completed and is currently available in Maven Central. I haven't yet sent an email as I wanted to ensure a smooth upgrade path for the community. A couple of institutions have had a try and I have been working with them to iron out issues but there are still a few we still need to sort out.

If you have staff that are willing and able to try upgrading now, please contact me off list and I'm happy to work with you as well. I anticipate it will be ready next week regardless.
