Hi All,

I'm interested in which O/S (and version) various sites are running ReDBox/Mint on. Please reply to this post if you're happy to share the info.

Hi,

At University of South Australia, we are testing it on Windows 2008 R2.
If everything goes well production environment will be same.

Hi Zakir,

As you said if you are still on testing stage, could you tell me is it a physical or virtual machine and is it on your intranet or in the cloud?

Cheers,
Sue

Also, I'd be curious how the JVM is exposed to the web on the Windows server?

Behind IIS, Apache, or direct via it's bound port?

Ta,
Greg

Thanks everyone for replying! I've added a link to this thread to our install doco (http://www.redboxresearchdata.com.au/documentation/installguide) so as to demonstrate the platforms in use.

I note the http://www.redboxresearchdata.com.au/documentation/installguide page states JVM v1.6 or greater.

Anyone had any issues JVM v1.7?

Also, is there a recommended version of Jetty?  (Latest is v9 but somewhere along the line we've ended up with a legacy 6.1.24 which might be the cause of some of our recent problems.)

Thanks

Jon

NLA's Mint installation it running happily on Java 1.7.0_19

I have no experience moving ReDBox or Mint between Jetty versions, but FWIW I do know that we run Jetty 6,7 and 8 servers for other stuff here and there haven't been any problems moving between them. Some new Jetty 9 servers have come into the dev environment last week and are causing grief.

Ta,
Greg
