Although I'm relatively happy with my 845s, I've been keeping my eyes open
for a set of traditional blades, either old or new. Yesterday, I played
with a guy who had RAM FX2 (FX squared) irons which he bought last year.
In the golf publications, RAM advertises their FX Pro-Set which does not
look at all the same as the irons I saw.

Are the FX2 irons still available? Any FX2 owners care to comment?

I believe the FX2 is no longer marketed by Ram. Last year I bought a 2
iron that I had to order it. Talking to the rep it's my understanding
that they were going to keep manufacturing them for about a year. The
reason for that is to keep up with any warranty claims. I do know that
some shops around here (Houston, TX) still carry the FX2, so you ought
to be able to find them somewhere. If not, call Ram and see if you can
order.

As to their performance, they are great. I love the feel. A little more
forgiving than blades, but not dead like a lot of cavities....

Good luck...

Let me know if you need the number of a shop here that carries the clubs.

I find them easy to hit, and with the long irons the ball moves
slightly (3-5 yards) back to the middle as it descends. I have
"steel-weighted" graphite shafts in mine, they have little vibration
even when "toed".

i love my ram fx laser forged irons......... much better feel than cast irons.

////////// but use spin golf balls (wound) rather than two piece to take full
advantage of their feel.

cheers, greg

Owned FX2 irons. I was not happy with distances...found Callaway S2H2
irons with m10 shafts at least 15 yards longer.
