this is actually a pretty interesting game, would greatly enliven the 12
noon time slot. so why is ESPN burying it at 8 pm where almost no one
will see it?

Actually, those of us in the Central time zone and west prefer evening
games. That way we can get all our work done(ride motorcycle, start
smoker, ice down beer). Although I don't know why they would stink it up
with the Meetchickens playing. Can they even see at night?

i know, but it's going to go largely unviewed opposite lsu-florida,
whereas it would rule the roost at 12 noon or 3 pm. weird scheduling.

i agree with most of the poast. Right now AZ is Pac TZ and I miss
much of the morning stuff. I'm home until 9a and then get home around
2 or so, depending. So a 5pm games is great for me b/c most of the
time i miss the Wolvies.

You are a typical SECer. You think a bit much of your conference.

I probably wouldnt watch more than a few minutes even if Iowa werent
on. The SEC is boring and overrated even beyond the polls AFAIC. I'd
much rather watch b10, b12, and teams like WV, VT, BSU or cross
conference games.

With Iowa's win over PSU, the Iowa-Michigan can directly impact the
Big 10 championship race.

LSU/Florida doesn't mean much, as the loser can still get to the SECCG
and win the conference.

They'd be mad to go up against Hokies/Eagles.

the SEC is starting to remind me of European soccer. Hey, look at us,
we are great - they you watch one of their games and the atmosphere is
nice, but the game play is rather boring. The only thing missing is
a ref adding arbitrary injury time at the end if the rules allowed it,
though the end of LSU-UGA seems to indicate they found a way around
that.

I live here and don't see anything of the European football begging for
attention that you claim to see. Methinks thou doth protest a bit much.

lol.....yes that's why the total donations required to get on the

months......

yeah we have had a true dearth of games in the 12 slot this
year.......would have been nice. I can only watch it between
commercials now of the lsu-florida game......

dude.....when oklahoma and texas played last year during some georgia
game(cant even remember which one), I watched the ou-texas game the
whole time and just flipped between commercials to check on
georgia.....

lsu-florida is 1 vs 4, but it also has extra hype because of:

1) the venue(tiger stadium at night)
2) the tebow issue....he's a famous enough person(forget player) to
begin with, but the extra bit about the concussion makes it even
juicier......

if florida's qb was named joe cox instead of tim tebow and they were
playing on friday night in a bigleast stadium instead of tiger
stadium you would be equally as likely to watch as well?

I am a fan of college football at it's best.....florida/lsu, texas/
oklahoma, etc.....rabid fan bases, legendary venues, 1st class
athletes, meaningful games.......

You have no understanding of college football at its best, for you are
the embodiment of college football fandom at its worst. Run along, now.

Let me put it this way... If Wisconsin was playing Northcentral
Arkansas Tech at the same time LSU was playing Florida, then I would
be watching my team.

as an aside, wisconsin is going to be *killed* today. tOSU is very
very good, and still has national title hopes.

Big deal. Unless one is at the venue, it really doesn't matter
because it could be Baton Rouge, Ann Arbor, Columbus, State College,
Blacksburg, Knoxville ... heck, even Morgantown has a great vibe for
night games. To pay ridiculous prices for tix to this is just dumb.

Tebow is a dumbass to play unless he is 100% healthy (and since he's
undergoing tests today, he's obviously not). The game means
relatively little for the season goals and he seems to be rushing back
from the one injury that a player should not rush back from
incurring. He could be jeopardizing their season, not to mention his
health ... for basically nothing.

Ok, i take it back. Having Mush and Herbie comment the game is enough
to make me want to skip it and watch Florida/LSU instead.
