The match starts at 5.28am india time, its the time when i'm in deep
sleep. I wake up at 10am so only half hour of the game remains :-(

Maybe that they have a seven-hour playing day, so normal close of play
would be 12:30 Indian time. Not today of course, they went off for light
at 16:15ish (11.45 in India).

Well in that case people in England hardly can sleep. Their starts at
around midnight and goes through to 7 A.M when they would have an hour
sleep and then go to their jobs.

Who framed Roger Rabbit?
The last time I was at the movies I fell asleep in front of Who Framed
Roger Rabbit. Woke up when they were playing God save the Queen.
Missed the whole show. I'm told the consant snoring and loud wet dream
also spoiled the movie for anyone sitting nearby.

Why doesn't the BCCI just buy the Ashes series and move it to Mumbai for
you?

Geez. Maybe they should change the time of the Aus vs England Ashes series
so that it favours Indian viewers.

US has done it several times. For eg boxing finals at 1988 seoul
olympics were in the morning at Seoul, so as to have it in prime time
in the US.

Ashes works well in the US, it starts at 7PM and ends at 2AM. Being a
holiday week(end) we are able to catch the game live on Dish network
channel 582 (willow TV)

start at 8am

starting early or played all in Perth

It's completely extinct in India. Everyone uses a mobile phone for

Caddyshack, probably the greatest movie ever made, slightly ahead of
Stripes. The fact that neither of these masterpieces ever won an Academy
Award is criminal

For what purpose? If it's to help you nod off then obviously you can't go
past The English Patient. (Or almost anything with a Fiennes in it come to
think of it). If not, and from what you've listed my recommendations are
highly unlikely to be your cup of hot milk, then cruise www.imdb.com or
http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/

Odd that you rate 'Aliens', but not the first in the series. *And* omit
Ridley Scott's other sci-fi classic.

They're very different movies.
Alien is pretty much a horror movie with a lot of suspence, Aliens is
a more straightforwards action flick without the same suspence.

Alien I have only watched probably once, and I just remember it being
very very slow and despite having it twice on DVD I have no interest

Blade Runner is a fantastic looking film, I have the 5 disc HD-DVD
special edition which I really must watch when I have the time, but
the story is rather cold and uninvolving IMHO

If I had to watch a Ridley Scott film I would much rather watch
Gladiator or Thelma and Louise, both have more "heart" and a better
story than Alien or Blade Runner and look just as good in their own
way.
