"DENNIS HATCH SENTENCED IN FEDERAL DRUG CASE

Dennis Hatch, Cheektowaga, N.Y., formerly one of the top-ranked
professional billiard players in the country, was sentenced today by
U.S. Judge William M. Skretny to six months home confinement with three
years probation, as part of a plea arrangement in the federal drug
trafficking case that earlier this month landed his father, Gregg
Hatch, 59, in prison for a 20-year term. Dennis Hatch, 29, pled guilty
to a federal charge of using a telephone to conduct drug transactions.
The maximum sentence for the offense is four years.

In addition to home confinement, the judge ordered Dennis Hatch to
undergo alcohol and substance abuse testing and treatment, anger
management treatment, to complete 100 hours of community service, and
to find and keep a job. According to Asst. U.S. Attorney Anthony Bruce,
the prosecutor in the case, Hatch will wear an electronic bracelet that
will monitor his movements. Once he has made arrangements with the
probation department, he will be permitted to leave his home only to go
to work. According to Bruce, he will be subject to drug and alcohol
testing at any time.

As part of the same FBI investigation, Buffalo, N.Y. native and well-
known pool player Danny Diliberto remains under indictment along with
two Florida men who are accused of providing the cocaine that the older
Hatch confessed to trafficking. Diliberto, who is accused of
transporting the drugs, has requested a trial and remains in Florida."
