- The complete Verdi “Otello,” starring Ramón Vinay, Herva Nelli, and Giuseppe Valdengo, recorded at two 8-H concerts in December, 1947, has been proposed by Levine as “an outstanding candidate for the title of Greatest Opera Recording Ever Made.”
