Bach TR300 model Silver trumpet

Does anybody know how good the Bach TR300 is for a third-year player? I am
now currently in ninth grade and I am getting one shortly. I would just like
to know the quality of it. Thanks!

IT is a excellent horn and it will suit you fine for many years to come.
The quality will far out grow the the player. So study and stop worry about the
instrument...it means nothing to learning and mastering the basics and joy
..too come as you learn to master the horn.
study and practice consistantly and most of all enjoy as you progress!

Hey Scott, it's a great student model horn, probably the best on the market,
but don't think that because it's silver it's a step-up or a pro horn. I don't
know what you're playing now but the TR300SHX may only be a move sideways. If
you think you are going to continue with trumpet throuh high school or college
you may want to consider a Bach Strad or a Schilke which ARE pro level horns.
If price is a concern I may be able to help you there too but what really
counts is "where you are, where you're going, and what horn will get you there"

I would recommend not getting a TR300 for a 3rd year player. One would be
much better off getting a good pro horn (new or used).
