Last night I went to the music store and picked up 4 CD's to listen to,
and bought 2 of them. One of the ones I didn't buy was Scar Tissue's
"TMOTD". I listened to a little bit of it, but I wasn't all that
impressed. I keep hearing that its a great CD, and maybe it is and I just
didn't hear it because I was in sort-of a hurry (was going to a show
across the street). Where is a good place to start with this band? I
know I've heard them before and liked them, but I can't remember where it
was from and I can't find any CD's by them in my collection anywhere. I
think I reviewed a CD for KBVR a long time ago and that's where I had
heard them. Ugh... that's what I get for being a music director.
Listened to too much music and can't remember what I've heard and what I
haven't heard.
anyway...
Help me rmi, you're my only hope.

I love TMOTD, but Separator is their most "conventional"
post-industrial album. More lyrics, drew a lot of comaprisons to
Skinny Puppy, etc. Check it out, fall in love with their music, then
get TMOTD and Re-build.

Hope this helps. Buy at least one Scar Tissue album and go from there. :)

WOW! Thanks a lot to both you and Dayv! for all the info. :) I
appreciate it a lot.
I fear that my next paycheck is already spent.. hehe :) Between my recent
muslimgauze fixation and my mentallo fixation and now another band to try
out, damn...

Just throwing in my spare change here. I second everything Dayv and
Jason said about TMOTD. I love this cd, and I really enjoy this band
live, too. I think you owe it to yourself to buy it (you may be able
to find it used), throw it in the changer while you're kicking back
reading your Sideline or Orkus mags, and see if it grows on you. If
it hasn't taken root in your brain stem after a few plays, then it may
not be for you. Then you'll know of some other things that you need
to be wary of, such as much of the ant zen offerings. But my advice
is to give it a shot.
