Say anything about the songs and their desirability, but please
refrain from making half-cooked remarks about MDs capabilities of
composing certain type of songs.
As far as Funny Songs are concerned, our "Sunday Ke Sundayman",
was a class of his own. He sang most of his own creations. Many
of these songs from films: Shehnai, Sargam, Albela, Aasha (by
Kishore Kumar) are easily available. Among the lost, but not-yet
-found is a number from the film: Jhamela (1953) / Tu Thehar Abhi
Mein Aaya (with Sunder)
Regarding S.D. Burman's funny songs, Mr. Srinivas (the originator of
this sub-discussion), mis-labelled the Muniumji number: Shivji Biyane
Chale. It is a Bhajan (so what, if it was sung on-screen by Dev Anand)
Some other funny songs (leaving them to your judgment), composed by
SachinDa are:
Funtoosh / Ae Meri Topi
Taxi Driver / Chahe Koyi Khush Ho
Chalti Ka .... / Main bahron Ka ..... Paanch Rupaiya
Sudhir

Some more SDB "fun" songs from another "braindead" fan:
babu samjho ishare, hum the woh thi....infact the entire soundtrack
of 'chalti ka naam gaadi'
ditto with the soundtrack of 'funtoosh'. besides the one above it
also has phool gendwa na maro, chhapad phar ke, humne kisipe dore...
dil ki umangen hain jawan from 'munimji'. 'ghayal hiraniyan' from the
same film also has a funny bit.
oonche sur mein gaaye jaa from 'house # 44'
hato kaheko jhooti banao batiyaan from 'manzil'
sar jo tera chakraye from 'pyaasa'
main tere pyar mein and pyar ki aag mein from 'ziddi'
chalta phirta hotel and wah re naujawan aaj kal ke from 'naya zamana'
tak dhoom tak dhoom baje from 'bambai ka babu'
achha ji main haari from 'kala paani'
yaaron nilam karo susti from 'prem pujari'
sala main to saab ban gaya and uparwala dukhiyon ki from 'sagina'
i am not sure how this "fun" category is defined, but it could include
all those "fun" asha/kishore and asha/rafi duets and songs like
'apni to har aah', 'bagon mein bahar hai' type of songs.
All of the above comes with a caveat that it is just a list of songs
with no implicit comment on the quality of the composition:-)

actually end up burning the water.

Nope. Not Srinivas. That was me. And since you do give us the option of leaving
it to our judgement, I find the above song to be a fun-song. You are welcome to
disagree.

there is a hindi idiom, "huur ke gale mein langoor", meaning a beautiful
lady in the company of an ugly man, like "beauty and the beast".

Since this is a thread for 'funny' songs by SDB/CR only, let me add the song
from Shabnam (old - 1949) by Shamshad Begum, which has the names of all the
months (per Inidan calendar) in the satnazas.
The mukhada words are somehting like "ik baar tuu ban jaa mera o pardesi, phir
dekh mazaa..".
Even Madan Mohan provided such numbers as 'Sikandar ne Poras se kii thhi
laraai, jo kii thii laraaii to main kyaa karoon" (Anpadh), and "Do se ho gaye
ek hum na phaaka na gum, O madam,...".
Happy listenings.
