"Meal Out In Time"
ttto "Wheel In The Sky", Journey

Found a machine – hot tea! Oh lord,
Hadn't had that for a year or more;
Just had to hold on a little longer.
I described it, though it took all day,
Tea leaves and milk and cups of clay,
Oh, but Vogons came, so we ran away!

Chorus:
There's a meal out in time they keep serving --
The view shows the end to tomorrows --
A meal out in time they keep serving.

Hadn’t a chance of growing old
Till we pulled out the Heart of Gold;
Seems then our odds grew rather stronger.
Suddenly dragged through time (not space),
Now we're all sitting at Milliways,
And here's some cow or bison
And it wants on our plates.

[Chorus x2]

Thanks. It's been a while since I'd seen a Hitchhiker filk.

Hmm. Given that Milliways allows its diners to observe the end of time and then some, might not "Meal Out *OF* Time" be more appropriate?

It actually started out as "Meal Out Of Time", but I decided it sounded too much like the name of a Food Network show.
