Desperately seeking score of 'Una nave mercantil' by Cuban C18 composer
Esteban de Salas. Does anyone know of it? I've a few of his other
villancicos, published in Cuba in the 1960s, but not this one, though i
learned it in a choir in Cuba in the early 1980s (but didn't keep the music,
foolishly).

There are recent 4 or 5 books of the villancicos for Christmas of Esteban
Salas (no "de") published in Havana between 2001 and 2004, edited by Miriam
Escudero, _Villancicos y cantadas de Navidad_ (Habana : Oficina del
Historiador de la Ciudad de La Habana ; Valladolid : Universidad de
Valladolid, c2001). I do not know any specific titles in the collections.
The Oficina has web pages, and sponsors early music concerts in Cuba.. A
Cuban musician regularly posts to this list. Perhaps we'll hear from him.

I do not know how you can import the scores (if you order them) from Cuba
into the U.S. (or Puerto Rico). I couldn't find any editions in U.S.
libraries. Try British Library and Union Catalogue of Canada for some
citations. Use the Karlsruhe Connexion (under Salas, Esteban as author):
