eBay item #3832663389

Auction ends on Sunday, August 15, 2pm PST (5pm EST)

Instant Beatles Collection:
7 publications (books, programs and magazines) that chronicle the
early days of The Beatles: John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George
Harrison, and Ringo Starr

MAGAZINE INFO: This SINGLE auction contains 7 rare items. Here's a
description for each item:

"The Beatles starring in 'A Hard Day's Night" (1964)
Although there are many books devoted to this landmark film
(celebrating its 40th anniversary), this 32 page book is the OFFICIAL
United Artists pictorial souvenir book. The cover photos are in color,
but the many photos inside of the book are black and white. It
contains tons of rarely seen 'behind the scenes' photos and details of
the making of the film and the cast and crew. The book has been kept
in plastic, so it's in practically mint condition (except for the
previous owner's small note on the upper left corner of the front
cover - "zip code: 06418." Otherwise, there are no marks or damage to
any of the pages.

"Beatles on Broadway: words and pictures compiled by Sam Leach" (1964)
This is a definitive guide to the wirlwhind that was the Beatles'
first arrival in New York. From their appearances on the Ed Sullivan
Show, at Carnegie Hall and around New York, they managed to charm the
entire town. It contains many 'behind the scenes' photos of the boys
alone, meeting fans and celebrities (including Dr. Joyce Brothers and
a young 'Cassius Clay'). Many of these photos have rarely been seen
outside of this publication. Because it's been kept in plastic by it's
original owner, the book is in practically mint condition (except for
very slight wear on the edges and spine). Otherwise, there are no
marks or damage to any of the pages.

"The New Lennon & McCartney Lyrics Book" (1968)
This 24 page book contains the lyrics to 123 Beatles songs. The inside
cover states, "Featuring lyrics from their new hot album 'The
Beatles'," so it appears to contain the lyrics to EVERY BEATLES SONG
FROM THE START until that time. Like the other magazines, this book
was kept in plastic by the original owner. There are no marks or
writing, so it's in practically mint condition (except for very slight
wear on the edges and spine).

"Beatles" magazines
These 4 magazines appear to be aimed toward their teenage fans.
Although each magazine is just 16 pages in length, they contain
several rare and exclusive black and white photos, quotes from
interviews with the lads, 'behind the scenes' info on their lives in
and out of the band (they provide a unique insight into their minds
not normally seen elsewhere), song lyrics, articles and cool
merchandise ads. I haven't found information to confirm this, but the
fact that the magazine is named "Beatles" seems to infer this was an
official publication.

Like the other items, the original owner kept each magazine in its own
plastic bag, so the pages are in great condition. There are no creases
in any of the pages at all, and they're still supple, so they won't
crumble if you hold them. Here's a description of each issue:

Volume 1, Number 4 (1964): Originally published on pink colored pages
with black and red ink, it's in remarkably good condition for its age,
except for a few very small check marks (about 1/8" high) and lyric
corrections (the original owner was quite meticulous!) on only 4 of
the 16 pages, 3 very small tears on the front cover, and a small tear
on the lower spine. Otherwise, there are no marks or damage to any of
the pages.

Volume 1, Number 5 (1965): It's condition is very similar to v1,n4,
except it has no tears on the front cover. However, there is some wear
on the lower spine. Otherwise, there are no marks or damage to any of
the pages.

Volume 1, Number 6 (1965): Originally published on beige colored pages
with black and red ink, it's in practically mint condition except for
a few of those small check marks on just 3 (not 4) of the 16 pages.
Otherwise, there are no marks or damage to any of the pages.

pages and has a few of those check marks and lyric corrections on 4
pages. Otherwise, there are no marks or damage to any of the pages.
