I just came back from the HKM seminar in arizona. He spent a lot of time
emphasizing "no power". for example ..the punch, the idea should be
an empty
punch, reach your target first ... then u can release your power. he
demonstrated
that if u punch someone's open palm, your punch should make no sound
..if it does
that means your impact chi did not fully penetrate the target.
Sigung Ho Kam Ming also talked about the dummy forms as well as every
form. The
dummy forms are for controllin the dummy and your distance as opposed
to strikin
it as many believe. when doin the form he empasized "no power". feel
it first then
control it ... not strike it as intuition may suggest.
