I'm so impressed by his 3ball stuff and I'm sorry that he is so unrated.
What we know about him? I mean there are plenty website with infos and
bios of many many jugglers but Google doesn't say anything about Mr. Dave
Kelly. Does he have homepage?
I saw all Kelly's combo tricks videos and I was wonder is there any uncut
material I mean some routine or stuff when I can see more then five
seconds of his continuous juggling. Maybe some private EJC footage or
something? I found only his devilstick but I'm interested in 3ball stuff.
So could anybody help?

If its the same Dave Kelly im thinking of he lives here in Liverpool, used
to juggle in the Liverpool club untill it closed down and is one of the
nicest blokes you could ever hope to meet.

As far as video's go there are a bunch of short vids on barneys
www.2diabolo.net and then a couple of longer ones like 3 ball disco but
nothing recent at all

No, you don't want to see his EJC performance. He's for sure an extremely
talented juggler, but he sucks
at stage because of lack of solidity.

Apart from him living in Liverpool, being a lovely chap who is
exceedingly modest about his ability as a juggler (often while
pulling off tricks that you thought weren't possible) - From
what I remember he recently passed some nursing exams, but I'm
not sure what form of nursing he does as a job.

No doubt Barnesy can fill in all the details I'm missing.

Not as far as I know, but then I've not looked him up on myspace
or owt.

There is some video of him around if you look on youtube, and
www.jugglingdb.com - not a huge amount though.

I wanted to find some footage of his tennis racket juggling somewhere
a while ago and stumbled across a load of his ball juggling that
I'd not seen before. No tennis though :-(

I'd just love to see another video of him juggling. Last time I saw him
was in the Synergy video. So
short clip it was though..

I ain't that modest ya know or nice for that matter ha ha, I'll start work
on tennis video today (hopefully be on-line today or tomorrow) as I
intended too at some point, I've also got loads of new three ball stuff
too but won't be putting that stuff up until I've reached my intended
target.

Having no club and juggling for non-jugglers in work etc, doesn't drive
one much, comments like 'I like the ball on a string' or 'the fake one is
the best'

anyway thanks for the praise guys.

My mum said "what a lovely chap" you were when we stopped by for tea and
some 'radical club news' after Leeds. I believe you answered her question
about your juggling with something like[1] "Yeah like, I do a bit of
juggling and stuff. It's OK."

Ewano - providing proof of Dave's modesty and niceness..

[1] I can't write in the Liverpudlian parlance, but this was approxiately
the meaning of what you said...

Dave has just put his new tennis tricks video on JTV:

All his old vids are now up there too:

I just watched that, and holy crap, dude-that was amazing! I had thought
about working on that sort of thing a while back, but gave up because they
just bounced too much-it's crazy that you not only got down the technique,
but also those tricks. Goodness gracious!

There's no bounce. He's not using tennis balls; he's using beanbags.

Balls are tough because there's no (or the absolute minimum of) dwell
time. I've seen balls done on a racket held in one hand and throwing with
the other hand, but has anyone seen a cascade done with bouncy balls on
rackets in both hands?

BTW, Ben Schoenberg of Serious Juggling performed a routine like this
(with beanbags on badmitton rackets, I think) in the early-mid 90s. His
finale, if I recall correctly, was to flash up the bags and then throw the
rackets up, too, into a 5 object juggle.

Well, that would explain that, then. I just assumed they were tennis
balls because of the description. Perfect color for the beanbags-they
looked just like tennis balls!

If you watch closely you will see he is actually using tennis balls.

They may not be the bounciest of tennis balls but they still roll around
the rackets.

I've seen Dave do some of this stuff live and he was using tennis balls
then too.

Ok, then, so they ARE tennis balls? Much respect for Dave, then.

Fluozies.

Yes, I know it looks completely wrong, but it shares the same stem as
fluorine, fluorescent, fluorescein, etc.

Indeed. If you look at the video description, Dave has even specified
that they are tennis balls (but if you watch closely you can see the
labeling on the balls)

>> They may not be the bounciest of tennis balls but they still roll around
>> the rackets.

I can't remember if they're weighted/filled with nything or not, but it's
Dave, so they're probably just cheap tennis balls, unmodified.

Like Plumsie, I've seen this live, and they were deffo not beanbags then.

> They might be Daves set of flouzies (floosies? i really cant remember how

Unless he's written on them, and lying in the video description, I don't
think they are fluozies.

Oh, and thanks for the video Dave :-)

Aw man! Comparing 3 ball tricks with robots, there would definitely be a
T-52 Enryu[1] in there! Too bad I can't actually explain the tricks and
there's no time indication for me to use.

Ehm... it was the one where he catches it behind the neck into drop
penguin under the leg multiplex... sort of.

Really awesome stuff. I forgot how l33t he actually was :). I don't care
if it's solid or not, of course it isn't, look at what the f*** he's
doing!

I don't know if Dave (or anyone) reads this forum-thing any more. If you
want to get in touch I would recommend maybe message him via juggling.tv
or finding him on facebook if you don't know his e-mail.
