Well need some help here. Had a NOS playfield shipped to my door today
and it was delivered at 1:25 PM while I was at work and I got home at
2:30PM to find no package (even though the online tracking said
delivered - left at front door). I am thinking someone might have
lifted it off my porch. I've called 1-800-gofedex and waiting to hear
back from them. Any other suggestions?

I'd call the police too.

And check if any neighbors picked it up for you. LTG :)

Besides the neighbors, make sure no dogs or other animals might have
dragged it away. I know it sounds stupid, but around here, we've had
raccoons pull large pieces of garbage away. If there was any kind of
sweet substance on the box, like jelly, or sugar or anything that the
driver might have been eating, that would attract animals as well.
Probably a long shot, but something to look into before you make all
your neighbors mad by calling the cops on them all.

Also, check to make sure he didn't leave it in between the screen door
and the main door, or under your doormat, or maybe under a bush near the
porch. Sometimes they try not to leave the package right out in the
open.

I had a similar situation happen. I called fedex and they had the
driver call me. THe fedex guy had a big delivery of 30 boxes to one
business and my package somehow got mixed in. It took a day for me
to get my package but just a simple mix up. Good luck with your
situation.

Insured? FedEx needs to have a prior release authorized to leave
without signature. This will get the driver in trouble if you have a
delivery relationship but that's the risk he took.

Well no luck so far. Called FedEx and they said they would call the
driver but havent heard back yet and prob wont since its friday. Then
I checked up and down my road and asked a few neighbors, nothing. I
put a small note on the door to put it between the screen door and
main door also, so it should have been hidden.... if he followed/saw
my directions. Also I had a pinball life package at my door when I got
home too (from the USPS), so not sure why the PF would be gone and not
the other package as well. So I'm not sure what to think. Contacting
the seller to see if he can hit up FedEx from his side and maybe try
to get a refund out of it. Just sucks, was just an hour and I'm on a
busier road so you think it would take some balls to lift in the
middle of the afternoon, then again people dont look out for other
people like they used to.

Thanks for the help guys, hopefully something comes up. If not, anyone
have a good deal on another NOS Monopoly PF?

I live in a subdivision, and there's a raccoon around here we keep
seeing, last night he was walking down the street, the damn thing is
the size of a 5 year old kid. He gets in the trash but hell I don't
want to shoot him or anything, it's a beautiful looking animal. Hope

Raccoons up here are huge, I have a family of them that hangs out at

They are nocturnal and are usually not rabid, if you see one out

I've had packages get delivered to the wrong address on several
occasions. Once I reported it to the delivery companies they've almost
always found them. Usually the driver misread the address.

Hopefully this is what happened to yours.

I've had packages show delivered on the website but it wasn't there,
and find it there the next day.
Some lazy drivers will scan the next few packages delivered at the
same time, then deliver them, but sometimes miss one and find it at
the end of their shift. They will stash it so they won't get in
trouble then deliver it the next day. I'll bet you'll end up getting
this...

This same thing happened to me a couple of years back w/FedEx.

We cruised the neighborhood looking on porches, with no results.

We called FedEx and they FINALLY let us talk to the driver.
He described where he left it and it turned out to be our
neighbor's porch. THEY were gone and had someone
picking up their stuff! Geeze... We finally got the
(extremely time-sensitive) package back, but only
after a LOT of gyrations... You need to get to the
driver quickly before his memory fades.

NOW, I insist that senders check the "signature required"
box so nothing is left on my porch... Particularly high-value
or time sensitive items.... I've also found that if the item is
insured, FedEx will not leave it without a signature.. HOWEVER,
UPS and USPS -will- leave it on the porch. Bottom line,
sender should request a signature regardless of the carrier.

Hope you can chase it down...

the time, I had stuff delivered wrong a few times. I bet the pf
eventually shows up after you talk to the driver and check his log
etc., It must have been with him on the truck if he scanned it and it
showed being delivered. At least it will be somewhat easier pf to
replace compared to other titles. Hope it was just a mixup and you

Are you married? If so there is a very good chance your wife took it
and sold it, because she knows that damn thing will take up all your
time, not to mention money, and she wont see you for weeks!

Think about it...have you ever seen 'play-field-swap' on even one of

Hey all Im new to this forum and was just going through a few threads.
Just my 2 cents but as a retailer if that package was left with no
signature then you shouldnt have any responsibility as to what happened
to it. All you should have to do is call the person you bought it from
and say you never received it. They have to prove you did and since you
didnt sign for it, its not your problem. I dont know Fed-Ex handles
things but if UPS drops something off with no signature they will pay
for it but they will never drop off to that address again without
getting a signature no matter what. At least you got your package and I
hope this helps anyone else.

Yeah the seller only had one PF. And the seller is a really good guy
as well, so I'm not trying to screw him out of his $ either. Hopefully
either 1) it turns up or 2) we can get FedEx to cover the loss so we
both get something in the end. Still haven't heard anything from the
seller, but I dont believe he is ignoring me. I've done business in
the past w/ him and had no issues before.

Also nope, no wife. Haha.

If I want to see my boyfriend I know exactly where to look. If he's
not under the car he's got his head stuck in a pin. A man with a big
project is a man who is at home not getting in to trouble.

I just shipped an NOS PF valued at $550 via FedEx and they told me
that it couldn't be shipped without a signature upon receipt. Not
that I wanted to ship it without a signature required. I had to
specifically choose to allow a neighbor to sign for it which is also
not a good option as far I'm concerned.

So does the shipper's receipt indicate signature required? If so, by
whom? If a signature is required and none was gotten, then FedEx is
responsible for it and hopefully the shipper valued it appropriately.

I was waiting on a box ($$$$) being shipped and what happened was the
driver left a note saying I must sign and they would be back the next
day. Well, the next comes, I am not home and I get another note. So, I
call the automated number tracking system to get them to hold it so I
can pick it up. Turns out the automated voice is telling me it was
delivered to an apartment manager based on the slip number that was
left on that 2nd day (not a tracking number). I thought, WTF. So, I
immediately called a human, and gave them my tracking number and they
held it...when I went to pick it up the gal said that the driver
probably prefilled out/scanned the door sticker for someone else but
was then surprised and got a signature at that previous location. So,
when he missed me, he used the pre-scanned slip and applied it to my
door. My heart sank when I heard on the automated voice that the
package had been delivered and accepted.

Best of luck!

Good news! Found it today! It's true.... A BEAVER did pull it into the

I had a feeling that's what happened, animals can be quite cunning
sometimes. So the fedex guy delivered it to your neighbors by mistake,
but then a beaver got hold of it and pulled it into the woods where you
found it? Crazy, one in a million story! Just be glad it's safe now.
They really should prohibit the fedex drivers from snacking and stuff
when on the road. I have no doubt there was some sweet substance on the
box that attracted the beaver.

I've had similar issues with Fed Ex. Not only that, but the bigger the
box the more damage to it seems to happen. Hopefully they scanned it
and forgot to deliver or dropped it off at the wrong place and get it
back. I've had the items show up a couple weeks later...and the Fed Ex
chickens won't even ring or knock or call. They just finally deliver
it correctly and run (apparently). Avoid Fex Ex if you can.
