When does an otherwise harmless fetish become cause for concern? I've read that having a foot fetish is so common that it probably shouldn't qualify as a fetish. Still, I often can't think about much else. During the warm months, I constantly seek out pretty young ladies' feet on the street and often find myself staring to the point of erection (toe rings send me over the top).
I've convinced my girlfriend to start giving me "foot jobs." She thinks it's strange as I'm sure most women do. But I masturbate at least once a day to pictures of women's bare feet. (The rest of my sex life is fine, by the way.) Should I start to worry or just go with the flow?
Thanks,
Riley
Dear Riley,
Many people have fetishes and like you said, foot fetishes aren't all that rare. The thing is if this fetish begins getting in the way of your daily life (e.g. you take days off work or are late for important appointments because of it), then it might be developing into something a little more serious.
If your fetish is harmless insofar that your relationship is fine and no woman has slapped you for indecent behavior, then go with the flow, as you mentioned. But if it begins to consume your every thought and every action, then perhaps you should consult a professional. Good luck.

penis full of pimples
I woke up one morning (after a long night of sex with my girlfriend) with a whole bunch of pimples all in my pubic hair and on the tip of my penis. They are itchy and only burn if I touch or squeeze them. So far, it has lasted two days with a sign of it getting better and there are less bumps. Of note, I used a lube that I have never used before; could it just be a severe allergic reaction?
Please help
Ryan
I think that this new lubrication you used may have something to do with your rash. Pimples usually indicate an allergic reaction of sorts. For now, I think you should wait it out for a couple of days. Keep the area dry and clean and don't rub, squeeze or touch the pimples.
If after a few days they still haven't subsided or they develop into open sores, then get yourself to a urologist immediately and have him take a culture of the rash. And Ryan, I strongly recommend that you use condoms from this point on. It's better to be safe than sorry (although even condoms may not ward off herpes or genital warts).

follow condom directions
I read your reply to a letter from "P.A." regarding a question about his condom coming off after sex with his wife. Your reply simply suggested he withdraw his penis immediately after sex and not wait until he becomes flaccid.
A more thorough reply would have recommended that he follow the instructions printed and included with most condom packaging, which suggests ensuring the condom is unrolled to the full length of the penis beforehand, and then after sex reaching down to hold the base of the condom against the base of the penis with your index and middle finger in a "V" shape, as he withdraws.
To do otherwise poses the risk of the condom slipping off, leakage, and unprotected contact between the man and his partner.

Geoff D.
Hello Geoff,
Thank you so much for mentioning something that I may have left out about condom use. People tend to forgo the instructions printed on packages and therefore end up misusing products. Again, thank you for taking the time to let men know how to properly remove a condom from their partner's vagina after sex.
