It's been almost a year since you lost a bet vs. him for a total of $88.
He stated that you haven't even replied to the recent emails asking about
this. Do you plan on paying up? If so, when?
Please reply to this thread with your intentions. Thanks much and hope

LMFAO! Tell Fell to write it off as a bad debt. Rick is a great guy, but
any money and/or bets going his way should be considered a donation. This
has been the case for years.

Last time I "befriended" someone from RGP on facebook he decided to make
gradeschool remarks about my family. No thanks. I think we all know that
Fell has a better chance of finding bin laden than getting paid by Rick,
but I figured I would at least help out.

That makes no sense. How does Fell's or Rick's location have anything to
do with Rick paying off a debt?

why wold you bet with him?

Well, Gary, Morphy actually is important and superior, so why would he
need to do anything to make him feel that way?
On the other hand, you obviously think you are important and superior,
so you constantly make these idiotic putdowns of others to convince
yourself and others that you are superior and important.
LMFAO! You are not superior, numbnuts. You are an idiot. I already
exposed that fact by showing that you have no understanding of what a
Nash Equlibrium is. Despite your conceit that you are the world's
leading expert on mathematics, especially mathematical game theory.
Important??? GMAFB. You are under the mistaken impression that you
are the leading expert on RGP on poker, and that you are part of the
RGP brain trust. Not to mention which, you imagine that you are a
world famous poker author.
LMFAO! You are not a world famous poker author. If that were the
case, why are copies of your book in mint condition available for sale
on Amazon.com for $0.30 per copy? Answer the that, genius.
You are not important. Period. You are a bitter, delusional, senile

I got an email from Jordan 2 or 3 days ago, so I don't know when you spoke
to him. I offered to give the money to Tanya at Binions, but Jordan asked
me not to do that, but put it on his Stars account. I don't want to spend
$20 to put $200 on Stars via Western Union (which is the only way to
deposit available to me) but someone else owes me $100 that I'm assured
will be given to me on or before the 1st of the month via Stars transfer
at which time I'll forward the money to Jordan.
I think it's kinda B.S. that this post was made, when my private email is
NOT any secret to anyone who just looks at my posts, but if Jordan asked
you to do it, then I'm not upset that you did, just thought it would be
better handled thru email. By the way, the bet wasn't over until the
Steelers won the Superbowl, so it's been 6 months, not "nearly a year".
I have also offered to pay him $100, instead of the $88 I actually owe him
because of the delay in paying him, but he said that wasn't necessary.

Would that really help? If somebody's going to welch, they can welch
just as easily if there is a specified payment format. For example,
if someone makes a bet promising not to post on RGP for a year, it is
welching to post every day under a new handle.
On the other hand, if somebody _is_ going to pay their debt, there
should be no reason to specify the method in advance. You and I
didn't agree in advance, but when I lost the Hillary bet we made
arrangements.

That would be the Casino Poker book, which didn't even make back it's
advance. It's still a good book, it was just written at the absolute
wrong time -- it's a survey of limit games that came to market just as no
limit holdem became king. The hold'em book still sells pretty well, even
after 10 years.

I don't know. Probably not all that much. But I think it turned out to
be a pretty good title and it was an important contribution made by the
editor.
The reason I don't think it was much of a contribution was that those
words were in both my books and only one did well in the market.

I'm merely the messenger here. I was asked to post something and I did.
I was told that you didn't even reply to his last email so he has no
course of action other than to have something posted on RGP.
My only suggestion? If you're going to get involved in a bet, make sure
you have the means to pay it off. Whether it's 6 months or a year or 6
week or who the fuck cares, pay it off ffs. If it's too much money for
you to lose, DON'T MAKE THE FUCKING BET.
Seems simple enough to me.

That is really the crux of the issue. If you can't easily afford
to settle any bet you make, you shouldn't be making it. If you
aren't sure if you'll be able to pay the bet, either don't make it
or set the money aside ahead of time.

Not that it's any of your business, but the money would have been
available immediately, but I ended up in the hospital for 3 weeks in
February, two weeks in March and then was unable to send it to him via
pokerstars (which is what he wanted). We made another arrangement and for
other reasons I couldn't do it in May (as I had promised) I told him, and
he said "Don't sweat it, get it to me when you can". I had the money to
give to T at BARGE, but he said he'd rather me give it to him on Stars,
and I DID answer his last email. I'd post it here, but it's none of your
business.
It's not been a good 8 months for me, he understood that, and I told him
he'd have it by the 5th.
Kindly remove yourself from this.

Well, it's certainly not the only crux of the matter.
Don't make a bet that you can't do without collecting should you win
either.
And, don't expect to collect when you make a bet with a guy who could
easily die tomorrow.
And if you want to collect a debt talk to the guy who owes you, don't get
some weasel friend of yours to just try to retaliate by embarrassing him.
There are a lot of cruxes here.

Yes, one could call it a "multi-cruxed" question.
I like it.
It could easily take over from the time honored, but shop worn answer
