I saw that the South Point Casino in Las Vegas has launched an online
poker site. Obviously they are looking toward the day when it will be
legal in the United States, in whatever form the lawmakers decide to
ok. I went ahead and joined, just to give it a test drive. Sure, I
had been spoiled by playing on Poker Stars with their excellent
software, but still I think the software at South Point is ok. I'm
sure they will improve.

Right now, naturally, it is for play money, but there are many things
they are giving away. I did not really check it out in detail as
tournaments do not really interest me. But it looks like you can win
things like gift cards, electronics, and more, if it interests you.

Not sure how many casinos have done this yet. I imagine South Point
will be a leader in the race toward legal online poker. You can
download the software from their website.

I like staying at their casino. I like the part of town that it is in,
the rooms are inexpensive, and the locals there are very soft.

But I went to their poker site, and this is their promo about the
casino, any idea what it means????

"With the exception of No-Limit, games featured are $2-4 and $4-8 Limit
Texas Hold'em, and $1-2 and $2-5 blind No-Limit Texas Hold'em games
feature full blinds and half-kills The poker room has a player tracking
system for comps, and a daily "high hand" promotion."

I am thinking that there marketing person has got to be writing here on
RGP. I try to not be a grammar troll. But JFC, I just can't figure out
what they mean. Exception? Full blinds?

We have been on for a little while. It is tedious at present.

well the 'full blinds' note is probably there because some pokerrooms in
vegas feature 'half blinds'. example...4-8 holdem...blinds 1 and 2. the
orleans used to do that YEARS ago...have switched to 'full blinds'. hope
this helps ::)

Cool. That sounds like pointless.

I dunno Paul, is it you or is it me? But why do people play for play
money? Don't get me wrong, I was a brazillionaire when I played play
money (for like months). But once I played that first hand of real
poker online, how can you ever go back?

lol, I just don't get it. Maybe someone on RGP does.

He went back because lawmakers have made it much more difficult for
americans to play for real money online since earlier this year

Ok, mr smarty pants. What does "exception" mean?

And I seriously don't attempt to be without sin. Do you? Or is this
just classic PP?

I'll bet you a million dollars to your one dollar that if you search
every post I have ever made on RGP that you will find no case in which
I used "there" or "their" or "they're" improperly. The same with
"your" and "you're". Funny thing, I only went threw 8th grade. How
far did you go, Johnny?
