Big River Texas Hold'em is mostly played in Russia & Europe.
It's so different than limit hold'em but yet it is limit hold'em.
'Big River' hold'em is a game, like, $4-$8-$8/$20. On the RIVER you can
bet $. or $20. I have not played much pot limit Texas hold'em(small
micro and a few lives games at $1-$2 blind) and would like to hear
opinions from the players who play Big River compared to pot limit.
It's different. I would just like to hear different views.
I am going to write an article on 'how to play it' on "the river".

http://www.PopularPoker.com is spreading Big River Hold'em and 5 Card
Omaha and is starting REAL MONEY as early as this week.

Thanks,

razzo

OMG

Razzo writing an article on how to play it on the river.

I really think it is time for him to come out of the rain.

Well after thinking about it maybe he is on to something. lets review:
1. He knows nothing about it.
2. Asking for blind input.
3. Can't stay on a subject.
4. Thinks of himself as a key poker figure.

Better Idea:
He should write about something he knows.

Let me start him off:
How to suck up to a casino boss.

A $5-10-20 on the end omaha/8 game is sometimes spread
at the Gold Strike now. It went last weekend. It was
a full kill game too but the kill pot stayed 20 on the
end instead of going to 40. So I guess you could call
it a Big River game on the non kill hands.

Hold 'em with a large bet on the end is popular in Louisiana and Texas.
Gary Carson discusses it in his book and posted some good info about it
here a few years ago. You might want to check out Google.

I posted the incorrect blinds. Big River Texas hold'em has a 10xSB or 5xBB.

Many of you knew this...
My example below should have read;

Example 4/4/8/8(optional big bet 40) or
5/10/50
10/20/100

I just started playing it at www.PopularPoker.com and discovered its
played little in the country and on the Net.

Thanks.. I'll go back to Carson's site and read this.

We used to have something fairly similar in Washington: it was called
"triple-five-ten" where betting was 5-5-5-10. The main thing is that you can
continue your weaker draws to the river because of the reward if you hit.

Also, Ciaffone and Brier have a chapter on "Big bet on the end" games
in their book _Middle Limit Texas Hold'Em_.
