One boneless pork chop pan fried along with 1/2 an onion. Add cauliflower and saute. Then white potatoes sliced into rounds and pan fried. Lots of good fried food today. Seasoned of course with S&P, and apple cider vinegar for the potatoes.

I haven't quite decided. Perhaps a tuna salad sandwich. Tuna, mayo,
onions, celery, green olives, S&P. On toasted white bread.

Anyway, try a small amount of chopped apple in your mix
sometime. It's surprising good. One HB egg works well too.

I've had tuna salad sandwich with chopped walnuts in there. Healthy(healthful?) and nice and crunchy, although they can be pricey.

What's "nice junky" and what's with grn "olives"?

I agree with yer "onions, celery, yada, but "olives"? I'd rather have
sweet pickles or gerkins, but that's jes me. ;)

White bread's a bit empty carby, but also nice in this combo, IMO.

I'd like that too, but I love olives, especially black ones.

I know they are "de rigueur" in dishes like "chili pie", but not in
tuna --or even salmon-- salad! ;)

Everybody's different. I don't put sweet pickles in anything (although
I like them on the side with a cold turkey sandwich) nor pickles in much
of anything. Polish pickle soup is about it, and I haven't made that
in years.

If I made a shepherd's pie and left out the meat and the pie, would it

One of my all time sandwiches is and always has been ham and pickle
salad. Just grind up some ham with some sweet pickles and throw in some
mayo. For me, the only good thing about going to a funeral is the hope
that there will be ham and pickle sandwiches.

I also used to love grilled cheese sandwiches with sweet pickles. I
would slice the pickles and as soon as the sandwich came off the grill I
would quickly pop the top off, lay the sliced pickle on the melted
cheese and then put the top back on in time for it to glue to the cheese.

When I was a kid we had bologna and pickle salad sandwiches. I don't
miss it.

I favor sliced fresh jalapenos, onion, and tomato on grilled cheese.

I always liked tuna salad with thousand island dressing instead of mayo.
My wife doesn´t so we use mayo instead.

Yesterday, we had some musubi filled with canned tuna mixed with Sriracha and mayo. Boy, was it tasty. I'm going to have to make that at home.

Good idea. That was my suggestion when he said liked walnuts in his Waldorf
salad but his wife detested them. Make a batch of whatever it is and if
she doesn't like some of the additions split it in half. Then continue
with making whatever and add the extra goodies you like in your half of
the dish.
