"Georgia Republican spent $100K for Palin rally"
[
Delaware Republican Christine O'Donnell should check her campaign's bank
statements before booking Sarah Palin for a campaign visit: It cost another
female Republican candidate more than $100,000 to have a joint campaign rally
with the former Alaska governor.

Georgia gubernatorial candidate Karen Handel's (R) camp paid an Ohio jet charter
service some $92,000 and to fly Palin in for a joint rally in the days before
the August primary runoff vote.

Handel also paid an additional $13,000 in expenses to the InterContinental Hotel
in Buckhead for the event, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, which
cited her state campaign finance reports. Her campaign committee reported being
$28,000 in debt in the same report.

You would prefer the taxpayers fly Air Force One into Hoboken to stump
for some outgoing Democrat? Those are some very expensive backyard
parties, and you and I are footing the bill.

Michelle and Barry NEVER EVER spend a dime on anything. Their
transportation is provided. (AF1) Their gas is paid for. Security comes
with the job. Additional local security is provided free to the Obamas.
The restaurants they eat in want the publicity so bad, they comp every meal.
Same with the hotels. Same with the boutiques. Everyone in her "entourage"
is so happy to have the free flights and free rooms that she doesn't have to
carry a dime in pocket money, as they all fight over who "gets" to pick up
the check. Same for Barry. I bet if they got caught out somewhere, they
couldn't come up with enough between them to feed a parking meter.

But it's OKAY. With all this hope and change and jobs being created, who
can gripe?

fACTCHECK claims its true...but then...Factcheck...is a leftwing site

http://cleargov.blogspot.com/2010/03/snooping-on-snopes.html

Snooping On Snopes
There has been much speculation about the validity of information
provided by self-proclaimed "urban legend" debunkers Snopes and
FactCheck. I decided to take a closer look.

http://www.snopes.com/
David and Barbara Mikkelson are the owners of Snopes and essentially
provide much of their own research from their home in California's lush
San Fernando Valley. About 2 hours of searching Snopes' site on
political issues reveals that, their articles reflect a disturbingly
left tilt, while frequently distorting or eliminating contradictory
information.

For example, Snopes has a puzzling article on "Obama's 50 Lies." The
authors proceed to list 50 innocuous and rather obscure charges, none of
which I have ever heard. They then set about debunking most of the
benign non-issues. But, try to fact find something relevant such as Mr.
Obama's broken promise of healthcare transparency and you will get,
"Sorry, no matches were found."

Mr. Obama and those in his adminstration made several references to his
desire to eliminate both employer insurance and private insurers. If
true, these are serious agenda items with massive consequences. After
numerous searches, Snopes repeatedly responded with "Sorry, no matches."
Yet, here is a montage of the actual comments on youtube.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-bY92mcOdk

The Mikkelson's, it turns out, are big Obama supporters and in favor of
much of his tranformational agenda.

http://www.factcheck.org/
Factcheck is a similar resource, but appears to have a more fact-based
approach. It too is owned by a now liberal group, the Annenberg
Foundation. Originally, founder Walter Annenberg was a conservative
Reagan backing Republican. The family's views have changed dramatically
over the years, which may or may not seep into the site's reporting. So,
again I spent an interesting hour snooping around the site.

If you search Fact Check for Obama's controversial birth certificate,
they will tell you it is genuine. Is this an example of liberal bias?
Maybe or maybe not. Here is their rather compelling argument:
http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/born_in_the_usa.html

Still, there are instances where they clearly lean one way. If you Fact
Check Obama's Czars, the editors refer to them as similar to those of
George Bush and "holding entirely prosaic administration positions."
While the title may be prosaic, this hardly applies to Cass Sundstein,
the Dir. of Informational and Regulatory Affairs. In referencing the
Constitution, Mr. Sunstein said, "Why should we be governed by people
long dead?" These are foundation rattling comments from a presidential
advisor that would seem to deserve comment. The remark, cannot be found
on Fact Check.

Next, I plugged in the question, "is Obama's healthcare government run?"
The reponse was, "no," because the healthcare bill states the "council
isn't permitted to mandate coverage, reimbursement or other policies."
The statement is there alright, but Fact Check overlooks the next 2000
bill pages which do precisely that.

http://www.wikipedia.org/
But Snopes and FactCheck are not the biggest offenders. Over 287,000,000
people visit Wikipedia every day for information. What most don't know
is they maintain a staff of editors, many of whom remove or edit
conservative leaning submissions to reflect a more liberal viewpoint.
This is a serious invasion of information sharing as many view Wikipedia
as a valid and important source for research.

In addition, in spite of it's huge success, Wikipedia does not make any
money. Instead, it relies on donations through their Wikimedia
Foundation. Their heavy donors include the liberal Ford Foundation and
the ultra liberal Tides Foundation. To be fair, Wikimedia has many
supporters: http://wikimediafoundation.org/wiki/Benefactors

But in the world of information distribution, do those who underwrite
the distribution, get to influence the content?

Below are two examples of what happened when articles were submitted
that refuted the Anthropogenic Global Warming hypothesis. (You might be
surprised to know that scientifically, AGW has never made it to the
"theory" stage.)

Lawrence Solomen wrote the book, "The Deniers." This is an excerpt from
his Amazon Blogspot telling of his experiences with Wikipedia.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/blog/post/PLNK3RXPPYI6K709I

The following is from a New Zealand journalist who had similar
experiences. His research is excellent and you can check out his bona
fides on his homepage.
http://poneke.wordpress.com/2009/12/21/con/

Whether you agree with Mr. Solomon and the New Zealand journalist or
not, is irrelevant. What matters is the daily flood of distorted
information that is unknowingly streamed into our consciousness from
supposedly legitimate sources.

Torqued political information from left or right leaning groups that
purport neutrality undermines the public's ability to protect their own
self-interests.

The only solution is to check multiple sources and research
contradictory positions. Then, dig deeper to validate the supporting
data to make your own decisions. In an age where everyone is an expert,
the only expert is you. It's time to "fact check the fact checkers."

Mainly, that most people are so gung ho at having their opinion appear on
the Internet that they completely ignore the newsgroups that it is posted
to. They just want to get their spew out there. They post to groups they
don't even read. Something that smells of chickenshit there to me.

Some of the newsgroups that are linked to rec.crafts in crossposting are not
anything that I would visit, nor agree with. So, one is just broadcasting
their bile on the general population.

Lastly, a lot of people have their filters set to stop anything crossposted,
and even killfile crossposters, being more interested in metalworking than
rushlimbaugh or survivalism or EWWWWWWWWWWWWW hvac.

So, if a person has some valid comments, they do go unheard as they are
filtered out, or even permanently killfiled.

If a person wants to spam a bunch of newsgroups, at least have the balls to
send individual posts to each. I say that, yet I do crosspost, but never to
more than two groups, welding being the other.

Goofer being insane has no bearing on the fact the America-hating bitch in

delusional partisan dimwits on the right.

Geez, what can you say to a guy who brags that he makes more money in
four days than you do in a month but is so broke that he lives in a dump
in Taft and has a net worth of about twenty five cents? Something
doesn't compute, right? I mean if this guy was any good at making money
would he be living the way he does? Rhetorical question, by the way. We
all know Goober lives like an ignorant, cracker hillbilly because that's
what he really is. Despite all his pretending, he is what he is. He's
about as far down as a white man can go without being homeless. Let's
just leave it at that. But I have to admit it is rather ridiculous to
hear him talk so big when we know the reality of his situation. I mean,
is there anyone in this group who would like to trade places with him? I
doubt it. He's probably worse off financially than anyone else in the
group. Except for Terrell. I suppose that's why he's always lying. It's
the only way for him to deal with the situation he got himself into.

Some college campuses do have a McDonald's, we had a Hardee's at our
University campus.

He might be qualified to teach the french fry guy how to suck the grease out
of the fryers at night. Now that's a good job if he could keep it!

There's lots of others educated just like him, with credential, who would
love to take that job away from him, you know.

What a joke for you to look down on anyone. What a hypocrite. You are so
broke you have nothing but a junk yard to show for yourself. At least my
net worth is positive. So you have nothing to talk about in your
position. You're like a snake. There is no one for you to look down on.
You're a bottom feeder and at the bottom of the barrel. I've got degrees
from California State University and I am not broke. That puts me miles
ahead of you.

Hawke's bluster reminds me of a visit to my brother's some years
ago. He worked nights so I socialized with his roomies. Turns out
AndyR had just been told by Berkeley that he could not teach at the
'extension' program - that's the one where you organize a class,
materials, and 'hang out a shingle" so to speak. Subjects range from
the silly to the intense. AndyR's was one of the intense ones -
sockets and packets, and computer networks at a level I was only
vaguely aware of.
But Berkeley, in their wisdom, decided that the guy who would
write the textbook, if he had time to do so, wasn't good enough to
teach in affiliation (no matter how tenuous) at their prestigious
institution. Because he had not Bachelor's Degree.

My brother's response, on being told that, after coffee, was to
round on Andy and kvetch "What did I tell you? Stay in school!
graduate! get a good job! But no! you had to drop out and become Mr
Hotshot Consultant, fly all over the country, make thousands of
dollars a month! But you don't have a degree and now Berkeley won't
let you teach a class at their school. Oy! Your father and I are so
ashamed! Pass the cream, dude."

that Hawke has a teaching certificate proves nothing.

President BHO has recently appointed a Golf Czar and major rule changes
in the game of golf will become effective in November 2010. This is only
a preview as the complete rule book (expect 2000 pages) is being
rewritten as we speak. Here are a few of the changes.

Golfers with handicaps:
- below 10 will have their green fees increased by 35%.
- between 11 and 18 will see no increase in green fees.
- above 18 will get a $20 check each time they play.

The term "gimme" will be changed to "entitlement" and will be used as
follows:
-handicaps below 10, no entitlements.
-handicaps from 11 to 17, entitlements for putter length putts.
-handicaps above 18, if your ball is on green, no need to putt, just
pick it up.

These entitlements are intended to bring about fairness and, most
importantly, equality in scoring. In addition, a Player will be limited
to a maximum of one birdie or six pars in any given 18-hole round. Any
excess must be given to those fellow players who have not yet scored a
birdie or par. Only after all players have received a birdie or par from
the player actually making the birdie or par, can that player begin to
count his pars and birdies again. The current USGA handicap system will
be used for the above purposes, but the term 'net score' will be
available only for scoring those players with handicaps of 18 and above.

This is intended to 'redistribute' the success of winning by making
sure that in every competition, the above 18 handicap players will post
only 'net score' against every other player's gross score. These new
Rules are intended to CHANGE the game of golf.

Golf must be about Fairness. It should have nothing to do with
ability, hard work, practice, and responsibility. This has everything to
do with "redistribution of scoring".

The current Democratic party has lost its ideological basis for
existence.
- It is NOT fiscally responsible.
- It is NOT ethically honorable.
- It has started wars based on lies.
- It does not support the well-being of americans - only billionaires.
- It has suppresed constitutional guaranteed liberties.
- It has foisted a liar as president upon America.
- It has violated US national sovereignty in trade treaties.
- It has refused to enforce the national borders.

...It no longer has valid reasons to exist.

Golf? That's the game played with those little orange balls and a .357? What
now? We have to use copper bullets to protect the yellow bellied
sapsuckers?

While this appears to be generally accurate, the problem is
the same screed applies equally to the Republicans, with a
very few exceptions. Remember that the repeal of
Glass-Steagall and the CFTC Modernization act of 2000, were
both *REPUBLICAN* bills [than you Phil Gramm], passed with
huge bipartisan support, and signed by a Democrat President.
The operational choice is between a red/right hand and a
blue/left hand sock puppet.

One current example from California, which remains in an
ongoing 10 year budget crisis at all levels of government:
http://www.sacbee.com/2010/10/20/3116983/dan-walters-legislators-add-to.html
<snip>
The bill, written in complete secrecy and jammed through the
Legislature in the dead of night, encompasses two of the
Legislature's worst tendencies – giving sports arena
developers special privileges denied to others, and
rewriting redevelopment laws with little thought to the
long-term consequences.

Specifically, SB 863 eliminates the cap on spending by San
Diego's redevelopment agency so that it can underwrite a new
stadium for the city's professional football team, the
Chargers.

Shifting local property taxes to the stadium project would
deny them to other city services and to county government.
And the state would be on the hook for much of the tax shift
because it would have to make up losses to local schools.
Taxpayers in Susanville, in other words, would be paying for
a football arena in San Diego.

Two Republicans, San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders and
Assemblyman Nathan Fletcher, are directly responsible for
this outrageous special interest raid on the public
treasury. Other politicians and Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger
are complicit because Schwarzenegger signed the bill
Tuesday.
<snip>
-----------

It is rapidly becoming evident that the *ONLY* choice is
continued business as usual under the two party sock puppet
system, which is sure to result in the collapse of the
Republic and/or its constituent states, and some sort of
extra legal direct citizen action involving ropes,
politicians, bankers, brokers, CEOs, etc., large numbers of
voters/taxpayers and sturdy trees or in the urban areas,
light/telephone poles.

Oh, your mom already thinks I'm grown up, and she also lets me play "load
the dishwasher" too. I get your mom's "dishes" nice and clean, especially
the spots your daddy couldn't reach with his limp dishrag. Your mom's
"dishwasher" purrs like a kitten when I'm there.

You guys obviously need some help. First off, I left out a letter in my
sentence. It was supposed to say I have credential(s) that qualify me to
teach at the college level. A simple typo, so sue me. But the point is
the same, one, I told the truth, and two, I don't think many of you can
truthfully say you have the credentials to teach at any level.

Secondly, the standards in this newsgroup are quite different than you
get at the academic level. Most of you wouldn't know that since you
don't have very good educations. Vocational training? Probably. But real
educations and advanced degrees. Not many. I know what I did. The joke
is to hear people who have not near the education I do try to denigrate
me when they are nothing but ignorant boors. So try with all your might
with the personal put downs. Your problem is that it amounts to nothing
more than shooting spit wads at a battleship. So it is worth a laugh at
least.

1. I taught at the college level while you were still toking your mary janes
on the way to your libtard arts class. So the most you could ever do is
stumble in my footsteps.
2. You are so into yourself that you think that every thought you think of,
or every idea you have has never occurred to anyone else. Talk to us when
you get a college teaching job.
3. Only libtards aspire towards teaching careers in political science. I
should know because I was banging all the libtard chicks in my political
science classes before going on to get my real "credential" in Actuarial
Science. Hell, I wasn't even that good looking but I was getting laid by
babes smarter than your mom. I was able to retire in less time than it took
you to get through school. I can make more money speaking for an hour than
you could make in a month.
4. Besides being a natural dope, you actually think a college will hire you
when it took you over 50 years to finally get your degree. You must have
graduated Summa Cum Later.
5. Laughing @ Libtard Hack. Time to grow up.

Makes Curls jealous because Gunner's garage is more elegant than the Mexican
