HOUSTON—League City police have arrested and charged a woman in
connection with a hit-and-run wreck that left a cyclist dead
last week.

Investigators said 45-year-old Kevin Muson, of League City, was
riding his bike in the 1900 block of West Marina Bay Drive
around 2:30 a.m. on March 13 when a car struck him.

Muson was transported to Clear Lake Regional where he was later
pronounced dead.

League City police said the driver of the vehicle fled the
scene, but stopped at the entrance of a nearby gated community.
Police said they were able to obtain clear video footage from
the guard station depicting a woman removing a portion of her
vehicle and placing it in her back seat.

The same day, police released the surveillance video hoping it
would help them find leads. Someone recognized the woman and
after numerous interviews and information obtained from
investigators, a warrant was obtained for Dena McKenzie, a 49-
year-old League City woman.

McKenzie is charged with accident involving death, a second-
degree felony. Her bond was set at $25,000.

> The most interesting aspect of your report which you left out is that the woman responsible for the hit and run was a nurse. Apparently being a nurse does not create any special empathy for your fellow human beings.
