New enhanced version of OrangeHRM - Free Open Source HRIS

Dear all,

I would like to announce that OrangeHRM version 2.1 has just been
released. OrangeHRM is an open source software application, which
helps the small and medium enterprises to manage their most valuable
asset - people. Note, that OrangeHRM software and related
documentation are available for you and your organizations free of
charge.

OrangeHRM team is constantly working on improvement of our solution to
enhance its functionality, make it more reliable and suitable for the
needs of the human resource managers of the small and medium sized
enterprises. OrangeHRM 2.1 is a significant release because its
functionality is fully based on the demands of OrangeHRM users'
community, who were cooperating with the team, while collecting
requirements, designing and testing the release.

The new features of OrangeHRM 2.1 include:
· Easier employee leave administration, including support for range-of-
day leave requests, inclusion of weekends and holidays in leave
calculations, a one-screen leave summary for all employees, and an
automated email notification system that alerts supervisors when
employees request or cancel leaves as well as informing employees when
their leave requests are accepted or rejected. These features add to
the system's basic leave tracking capabilities and employee self-
service leave requests.

· Enhanced employee search with the ability to search on all major
fields contained in OrangeHRM's Personal Information Management (PIM)
Module, making it easy to select an employee based on a field without
generating a report. The employee list has also been enhanced to
display more information at a glance.

· User-defined employee IDs in the PIM module that enable HR
administrators to use the company-assigned employee ID in OrangeHRM
rather than being forced to use an ID generated by the system.
· Enhanced reporting with new fields including employee skills, start
date, contract, supervisor, company division, years of experience and
date of school graduation. These upgrades strengthen OrangeHRM's
Report Module, which allows users to create, save and generate
customized reports by selecting from a menu of search criteria and
report fields.

The only thing HRM means to this group is Heart Rate Monitor.
Right abbreviation, wrong group.
