I have a 1995 Ford F150 (4.9L, 302 cu inch, I6).

Can anyone describe or send a picture to show where the temperature
sender/switch is on the engine. You can see a picture in the
following web page:

http://www.smpcorp.com/mycgi/ibg.asp?parts=TS-58

This is the sensor that is connected to the gage on the dash (in my
case, it's a temp gage, not an idiot light). I'm hearing it said that
you about have to break you arm in 3 places (as one gentleman put it)
in order to get to it. I don't want to change the sensor... I just
want to remove the electical connection, clean the terminals, and
re-seat the plug onto the sensor.

My temperature gage is acting kind of funky. I've already changed the
thermostat and coolant temp sensor. No change. The gage works, but
seems to be erratic (rising and falling slightly), and doesn't reach
mid gage like it used to.

If anyone could either describe its location, or send a picture
(email), that would be great. One guy told me just today he THOUGHT
it was at the rear of the head. I went all over the engine with a
mirror and flashlight (even behind the head), but I can't seem to find
it.

Thanks a lot for the help!!
