Rear 3-point belts?

I'd like to put 3-point safety belts in the rear seats of a Rabbit. The
car was manufactured with anchor holes for shoulder belts, but no dealers
can supply me with rear 3-point belts. . Does anyone know where I can buy
them? I don't think belts from 1987 or later Golfs or Jettas will fit in
a Rabbit.

Sure they will. Belts are belts as long as the mounting points are the
same. Just pick up a set from the rear of another car out of a junkyard and
install them. I know an '87 Jetta GL has them, and some other Golfs probably
have them. Just find them and install them, it's really not that hard to do.

That's the problem I'm having - none of the 3-point belts (front or rear)
I've found will fit the anchoring positions available for the rear
seat of a Rabbit. I don't need inertial reel belts.

You should have four mounting points. The ones for the lap belts, the
one for the upper loop, and one JUST below it, like 6" for the reel. This
one is PROBABLY hidden under the interior panels like in my Jetta.
