This is somewhat OT for this group - but only somewhat. In September of 2015, a pair of pristine KLH Model 9s were on offer. There is usually several pair of Maggies in various states, a good deal of tube audio, including Audio Research, Dynaco, Eico, Scott & Fisher, and a smattering of Euro stuff, Revox, Braun, Nagra, et.al. And, of course, thousands of radios of all ages and types.

Look through the pictures.

Just about one month from now (May 11/12/13) will be the next Kutztown Radio Show and Meet in Kutztown, PA.

By any measure, this is probably the largest single gathering of radio, vintage electronics and related hobbyists, collectors and vendors in the US in one place at one time.

As per usual, I will be at the Club table running the Clinic as well as Radio Free Kutztown in AM and FM. It has been a year since I was last there as I was switching jobs (MUCH for the better) in September, and was traveling on business at showtime. So, I hope there is a backlog of patients! Make your plans now!

As things get closer to the date, I will furnish more details as to give-aways, and things I am bringing of general interest. Please contact me with any requests as well, so I might bring the proper tools or materials.

Golly, that brings back memories. About 1970, I lost a pair of Quad ESLs in
a divorce and replaced them with a "double pair" of
KLH Model 9s; not the best financial move at the time I enjoyed them for
about twenty years, which required replacing the Janzen tweeters a few
times. I still have
a great affection for some of the characteristics of ESLs even though that's
not what I have now. It would be fun to hear speakers
like the M-L CLX, and other current ESLs, plus the Magnepan 20.7 but they
are not carried by local dealers. Ah, well.

Kutztown XXXVI Starts Tomorrow

http://www.dvhrc.com/docs/Upcomingshowinfo.pdf

After missing the show last fall due to business demands, I will be back tomorrow with the Clinic, Radio Free Kutztown (AM & FM), and the usual ‘stuff’ for the show.

Read the flyer for particulars. But, special to this show will be a collector of boat-anchors and TransOceanics of some note, Carroll Senn, will be bringing much of his collection for sale, and at very reasonable prices. Included in the mix are parts, specialty-tubes, test equipment and much more.

To the first person who asks and identifies this group, I have a 100W Craftsman soldering gun as a give-away. Useful for making chassis connections and such.

See you there.
