On "The Ingraham Angle," Laura Ingraham slammed a Vanity Fair article
that suggested Melania Trump did not want to be first lady.
In the piece, writer Sarah Ellison cites an anonymous friend of Mrs.
Trump who reportedly told her that she did not want to be first lady
“come hell or high water."
Ellison also wrote that another friend of Mrs. Trump's told her that
the first lady and President Donald Trump "live essentially separate
lives."
In a statement on Monday, the first lady's office slammed the
"shameful" and “salacious” article, saying it is "riddled with unnamed
sources and false assertions."
"Not only does Vanity Fair suggest the first lady is miserable, ill-
suited for the job, but also that her marriage is on the rocks,"
Ingraham said.
Ingraham pointed out that Mrs. Trump appeared quite happy and
comfortable in her role when she hosted children from Joint Base
Andrews at the White House and put up Christmas decorations.
"She looks like she's really hating that job?" Ingraham said. "I don't
think so."
