Why has she been removed from the opening credits? Has she been fired
or resigned from the show?

If that's the girl who plays Chris Kelly she's only in 4 eps and then her
characther quits the force and leaves the show. I thought she was married
to the blonde guy so how are they going to explain that.

There's been a lot of noise about her transferring to Homicide, at least
from what I've gleaned from the couple eps I've seen. If she does, then
they can simply mention that she has left for Homicide, and birng her back
once in a while.

Here's a season premiere question, however - SPOILERS if you haven't seen
it...

SO, did Bobby and the motorcycle mechanic do it or not? I say yes, and
the priest covered up, because at the end, Chris tells TC that she knows
he's "covering up" for Bobby. If so, then that sorta...sucks. If so,
however, then maybe Chris gets fed up with TC and leaves/divorces him.
Yeesh.

So, was Vogel fired (seems likely based on the dumbing down and obvious
youth-ifying of the show), or did she go to the producers last season and
say she wanted out?

I agree that this makes more sense, but Karen says she's going to quit to
force, so who knows.

If true, this development would be so out of left-field it would be
ridiculous. But then again, the writing for most of the season premiere
was out of left-field, and I found the whole thing pretty awful.

See, it's an example of how badly written that episode was that you're not
sure what happened. I wasn't quite sure until the last 5 minutes either.
The answer is, yes, the mechanic killed the suspect and Bobby Cruz *did*
throw the gun into the ocean. But the priest, feeling guilty about the
whole thing I guess, made a false confession to both crimes, and is going
to jail for it.

So the mechanic did commit murder, Cruz did obstruct justice (and the
other 3 rookies were accessories), but none of them will get punished for
it.

As for Chris' problem, I still am not sure what her gripe is. It seemed
like she was mad that T.C. didn't listen to her and Cory on reigning in
the rookies, but I'm still not totally clear on why she's so angry.

My guess, if Karen is accurate, and they go for the more sensical
explanation, that they meant to say "quit the squad" or some such.

Yeah, especially considering that, up until now, PB has managed to avoid
most of the problems that have plagued "Baywatch" - i.e., that the
characters did things that real-life situations would never warrant. Yes,
I understand that there is creative license, and I'm willing to let some
stuff slide. However, when Baywatch lifeguards are called upon to rescue
people from a downed plane - I start turning. Up until now, PB managed to
stay mostly out of that.

Hell, I'm still not quite sure.

Well, that's - stupid. I mean, the priest doing it was a plausible
explanation, and it sorta made sense, but, damn - was the evidence that
unclear? Plus, what possible reason did the priest have for confessing?
Personally, I think a certain cadre of writers wrote themselves into a
corner, and the 11th hour confession was all they could come up with.

Oh, this is great. We can only hope that PB is going somewhere with this.

I think she's angry because TC protected the rookies, and knows that Bobby
is guilty, and doesn't do anything about it.

I read somewhere that she was to be in 4 eps and her characther was going
to quit the force but that may be some magazine and not what actually
happens. It's a wait and see deal since TPTB change their minds often.
Also I agree that Pacific has been crap since Rossovich and the other guy
left. The idiot TPTB are catering to 14-17 who don't have disposable
income so the ads have no effect. Another fact that proves their stupidity
is that more people are living into their 80's and less babies are being
born so there are less teenagers. My question? If teenagers are rapidly
being minorities then why are the idiot TPTB catering to them instead of
the majority?

The new producer did 21 Jump Street and is trying to turn PacBlue into that
show - whether it's his idea or USAs I don't know.

I'm nearly positive its USA's idea. They wanted to hold onto the demos
coming out of "Sunday Night Raw". So they got rid of Palermo and Del Toro,
and brought on Bobby Cruz, Monica, et al. Now they're pusing out the
character of Chris Kelly. (I think they canned "Silk Stalkings" for the
same reason: the demos skewed too old.)

I thought the last season of "Pac. Blue" was mindlessly amusing. But if
the season premiere is any indication of what "Pac. Blue" is going to be
like this year, then I'd say "The X-Files" needn't worry about losing me
as a viewer.

This wouldn't, by chance, be Patrick Hasburgh, would it?

USA's, I believe. That's why they dumped Palermo; he's a damn good
looking guy but too old for the audience USA wants. That's probably
also why they're getting rid of Darlene. I think she's more attractive
than the other blonde, but Darlene's obviously not in her early 20s,
which is the age group the cast is heading in.

I read it was because they had a new guy in charge. He felt SS was a
signature series for the guy before him. So he cancelled it to make room
for a signature series for himself.

That's not what happened.

Try watching the episode again- it's on this afternoon.

Yep I was already told what happened. I missed the 1st 17 minutes on it's
first showing and then missed it all together on it's 2nd. I finally saw
the full ep at 2 this afternoon.
