Yes there will be collateral damage.

There is a lesson to be learned.

Illegal invasion is not to be tolerated. It is an act of criminal
behavior.

Close the businesses, put the owners in jail. Make them responsible
for their actions.

Let's do this.

70% + of illegal immigrants are getting some form of welfare and government
handouts. The Democrats in California just passed legislation that
will raise taxes so they can pay all medical costs for illegal immigrants.
The Democrats in New York just passed a law to give illegal
immigrants driver's licenses. Which they can, of course, use
as ID when they vote.

Are you being intentionally obnoxious or are you just trying hard?

As you surely know 'The Right Wing" comes in all sorts of shapes and
sizes and is not nearly so easily characterized as you make out.

May as well say "all lefties are admirers of Kim Jong Un" or something
equally silly. That's the trouble with drawing such a broad brush and
obviously I do understand that left vs right has a different meaning
in the US vs Canada or the UK.

(I've been watching some fascinating videos on British Conservative
party affairs in the last week and Boris does seem to be hellbent on
snatching defeat from the jaws of victory!)

They've also said they're going to reinstate the health insurance
mandate that Trump repealed. They're going to force Californians to buy
health insurance and if you can't afford it, they're going to fine you
the same amount as the insurance and then give the money to illegal
aliens for their health care.

So if you can't afford your own health insurance, you have to pay for an
illegal alien instead.

FPP apparently believes that when you say "70% + of illegal immigrants
are getting some form of welfare and government handouts" the only
government that 'counts' is the federal government.

It's an incontrovertible fact that the government of California gives
illegals a cornucopia of government benefits. They practically sign them
up at the border. The state advertises heavily in the 'immigrant
community' to make sure they all know all the money they can take from
the pockets of American citizens and our exciting new governor is
constantly cooking up plans to give them even more.

It's pretty well known he hires illegals. Even if someone else actually
did the hiring, he's ultimately responsible.

What the fuck is wrong with you, Ubi? You make accusations against
famous people regularly on Usenet. You've never once yourself used the
word "allegedly" except in a full-text copyright infringement.

However, Johnston doesn't have a legal point with respect to contractors
hired to work on building projects. One is not required to check
immigration status unless it's a newly hired employee.

This doesn't apply to falsely classifying an employee as a contractor,
however. If the construction worker isn't a contractor, for example, he
doesn't bring his own tools to the job site, he must be classified as an
employee and would be subject to an immigration check.

No. This is very easy to parse.

The workers were hired by the Trump Organization. That's a fact. It's
documented.

The workers were undocumented. That's a fact.

Therefore it follows that the Trump Organization hired illegals. Of course.
