What the fuck is wrong with you, Ubi? You make accusations against
famous people regularly on Usenet. You've never once yourself used the
word "allegedly" except in a full-text copyright infringement.
However, Johnston doesn't have a legal point with respect to contractors
hired to work on building projects. One is not required to check
immigration status unless it's a newly hired employee.
This doesn't apply to falsely classifying an employee as a contractor,
however. If the construction worker isn't a contractor, for example, he
doesn't bring his own tools to the job site, he must be classified as an
employee and would be subject to an immigration check.
