Book number 24 of a 25 book urban fantasy series. Or, paranormal romance series, I am not sure of the common usage of these
categories. I read the MMPB printing which was back up to to 600 pages. I will purchase book number 25 in the series.

I liked this book more than the last couple of books in the series. It was back to the basics for me. And the "free" novelette was
good. I am fairly certain that there will be more books in the series as her readership is obviously in the tens of thousands, maybe
even in the hundreds of thousands.

My rating: 4 out of 5 stars
Amazon rating: 4.0 out of 5 stars (1,215 reviews)

I used to think that there was a difference, but now I am convinced
that it is entirely a matter of what goes on the cover and where it
is shelved.

There's borderline cases but there are also ones that are pretty clearly in one category or another.

As far as the Anita Blake books go they started in Urban Fantasy but have changed a lot

Er, yes. The detective-type case in it is intimately connected with sex, in
fact.

Dave, nobody spoil him, I want to hear his screams

Lynn is correct :-). I know enough about LKH that I have zero
interest in reading her, and normally I *like* sex scenes.

It is all a matter of emphasis. If the romance stuff is central and the
supernatural stuff is mostly window-dressing then it is a paranormal
romance. Else it probably counts as urban fantasy.
There are of course borderline cases too - it is a fairly gliding scale.
