I have now supported several authors in this newsgroup :). I read
Ellen's books when I was growing up, and now my oldest daughter is
reading the Jenny Archer books. I've read two of Jane's Gregor
Demarkian series, but I can never find the others in my book store.
I'll have to borrow the rest of them from my Mom.
On a side note, I just bribed my oldest daughter (Sarah) and her friend
Hannah into watching Amanda (my one year old) for me. Is that pitiful?
Has anyone else done this? I feel like a bad mother, but I just wanted
to finish this email in peace.

six weeks post LASIK and I can see better than 20/20 !
Hmmmm, you obviously have a daughter not only of genius I.Q. but also
impeccable taste! Thanks for taking her advice....

envious!)
And, Miss Unruly, without your glasses you're . . . you're . . .
beautiful.

The really bad thing is, although Jules is youner than her brother John by two
years, she helped care for him - on a self-appointed basis - by always
reminding him of the things he needed to do. He taught her math so she could
help him with her homework.
Julie's mother - Linda D in TX, who knew more of what was going on than she let
on...and I have ALL the Jane H's but only one of the Orania P's.
Gee, thank you, but... wrong Julie!

will take compliments wherever I can find 'em
You did not invent "bribing for peace"!
Cling to this thought: a happy mother is a good mother.

We've all done it. My kids are only 18 months apart, but I occasionally
have to bribe the older one into playing with the younger one. The
other shameful thing I do is pop in a video when we all get home from
school. We don't have cable, so we get NO channels, but we do have a
VCR, and after a long day at school, I think the girls are entitled to a
little TV before homework, and I'm entitled to a little peace and quiet
after MY long day at school.
