recording sound off camera with D90

So, my background is in recording music but i've recently been using my Nikon D90 for recording some product videos. I'm tracking sound off camera with Logic and I want to make sure I've got the settings all correct so I can match things up in post. My d90 records at 24 frames and 48hz. Is it correct to say that I should record in 48hz 16 bit?

Also, what should my settings be in my sequence when i'm importing everything into premier? Sequence video settings will be 24 fps 48hz but will I need to drop the frame rate to 23.98 to match the audio?

I'm kind of a noob here with video editing so keep it simple if possible.

The first time i tried this i recorded my sound in 44.1 and I ended up having to adjust the original video file. I increased the speed of the clips by 100.04% but i still felt like the sound wasn't really syching up that great.

Any help would be appreciated.

- - Yes, 48kHz for sure. 16 or 24bit, I suggest 24bit if you tend to
record at low levels.

- - Sorry don't know much about Premier; But in other NLE's, The frame
rate is usually set the same as the camera. Usually no 'pull up' or
'pull down needed or to change the audio at all if recorded @ 48k. If
it was recorded at 44.1k, a sample rate conversion to 48k in a DAW or
audio editing app is a quick fix.

-- Adjusting video to match audio is never a good idea. If needed,
change the audio match video. Some NLE (Vegas Pro for instance) allow
time stretching or compressing audio clips to compensate for drift or
other reasons.
