Hi, I have a Cooper 208d mixer. I'm trying to use the D25 connecter on the rear of mixer to route the audio post fader to a hard disk recorder. There are 8 dip switches inside the mixer which are supposed to switch between pre and post but seem to only be pre or off. Am I missing something obvious?

That's how it's supposed to work. Switch to the left is PRE and to the right is POST.

It's been awhile since I've opened one up, but there should be an 8ch wire harness that connects the 8T (Direct Out Option Board)PCB that the little switches are mounted on to the tip of the Direct Out 1/4" connectors fro every channel. Its a multicolored little wire harness with a white Molex connector on the end that snaps into the board. Since the 1/4" Direct outs are Post-fade by default, that's where the DB25 is supposed to get the audio from when you flip the switch.

If the harness was never installed (may have been an additional option on top of the DB25 Pre-Fade Option), then you will get no audio if you put the switch in the right (Post) position.
