It's time to light the lights....
Sincerely not trying to spam your newsgroups (I often partake of them myself and hate spam)! Just wanted to let the Portland, Oregon area Muppet enthusiasts know that this next weekend we'll be showing a ton of rare Muppet and Henson related material on the big screen.
The following is the press release (xposted on alt.tv.muppets)! I hope this reaches the right PDX fanatics!

JIM HENSON & THE MUPPETS OVERTAKE THE HOLLYWOOD THEATRE
In partnership with the Jim Henson Legacy and Brooklyn Academy of Music, The Hollywood Theatre will present a very special series celebrating the best of Jim Henson and the Muppets, featuring seven different collections of classic shorts featuring The Muppet Show, Sesame Street, and rarities from the Henson vaults. We are proud to present Muppets, Music, and Magic: Jim Henson’s Legacy over the course of 5 nights showcasing an incredible behind the scenes look at his long and storied career. The programs are:
Muppet History 101- 8/10- An in depth course in the origins of the Muppets featuring the rare pilot The Muppets: Sex & Violence.
Jim Henson Commercials+Experiments - 8/11- A collection of experimental shorts, crazy commercials, and other rarities from the Henson vault including the legendary commercial and industrial film for Wilson’s Meat.
Sesame Street at 40 - 8/11 + 8/12 - a best of compilation spanning 40 years and features the Muppets palling around with celebrities and special guests such as Michelle Obama.
Muppet Fairy Tales - 8/12 - Classic stories retold through the eyes of the Muppets.
Muppet Music Moments - 8/13 -A collection of some of the classic musical numbers
interpreted as only the Muppets can including the classic "Mah Nà Mah Nà".
Jim Henson + Friends: Inside the Sesame Street Vault - 8/14 - This super entertaining program highlights the contributions of Jim Henson and his early SESAME STREET collaborators Frank Oz, Jerry Nelson, Fran Brill and Caroll Spinney.
Sing! The Music of Sesame Street - 8/14 - A salute to 40 years of Muppet music.
***Some programs will have multiple showtimes with times available online***

Jim Henson is best known for creating the lovable Muppets but was also involved as a puppeteer with many other programs and projects including the iconic Sesame Street, Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal, and Fraggle Rock. Henson is one of only three people to be honored on the Hollywood Walk of Fame with two stars, one for himself and one for Kermit the Frog.
Come check out these great programs and many more! This event is fun for the whole family but isn’t just for kids, just the way Jim Henson envisioned the Muppet Show!
