The old smart board from rLab's electronics room is now surplus to requirements. It has been replaced by the better one from the kitchen wall. (Thanks Luke & Gavin)

If anyone knows a good home for it please let us know. I have no idea if the 'smart' element works (never seen it working whilst I've been a member).

As usual, priority is given to organisations with similar aims and objectives to rLAB's, then members etc.

Recipient must collect, and we need it gone before the end of the month (Feb) so we can progress with the new kitchen project.

Many thanks

Tony, Andrew, Ian

I have no idea what or how or why or............ the "smart" is?

As with almost everything we are short of it, don't have it etc. at Basingstoke Makerspace.

Once we know what this board can do it may be of use, or for any of the four or five makerspaces/hackspaces in the area.

If you don't have room for it we can always collect and store it and if necessary pass it on to another space.

Smart boards capture what you write on them and let you download them somehow. But as I said I've never seen this one working, so it may just be a dumb whiteboard now!

You project onto it and it works like a big touchscreen over serial.  The pen trays I think are activated by magnets, let you select colours in the default software, but the pens and the psu have disappeared.  It might take some investigation to get it working, but it did used to when we were at storage king.

If no maker spaces want this by end of month I will take it for my home shop. Otherwise agree it should go to another space priority first. Let me know if no one comes for it and I can come over on a weekend and pick it up.

I don't think there is any need for it at Basingstoke and no word from anyone else.

I know David Z had previously expressed an interest in the board as well.

If David wants it that's fine. But if no one wants it let me know and I can at least keep it from going to waste.

Looks like Basingstoke Makerspace will take it after all, so unless I hear different from them its no longer available!

Thanks
