Planer Thicknesser out of action for the foreseeable future.

The infeed table of the planer thicknesser has been damaged, and it is not currently possible to set up the machine to work properly and/or safely.

The problem is that the edge of the infeed table next to the cutter head has been deformed and we have been unable to properly set the outfeed table and cutting knives without having the knives impact the infeed table. This is a risk to the machine and anyone using it, so it is out of action until fixed.

I'll have a look at fixing this next week.

Nope, unfortunately I ran out of time to do this before going on holiday. I'm back this weekend, but won't have time to fix it before Tuesday evening.

If it's urgent, ask Ian if he can help you.

The planer thicknesser is back up and running with some new knives.

I've given both functions a try and it seems to be working OK.

Give me a shout if you notice anything wrong or a drop in performance and I'll have another look at it.
