Hi all

Right now I am ordering a lot of components for building 3D printers, some are more specialist but others are more standard RepRap stuff.

To get good prices I have ordered several things in bulk from China.  I have been pleased with the quality of most purchases.  I am now overstocked on some items though.

I am seriously considering putting together an eBay store for some of the items – for example a 16014 bearing, used for the BQ Ciclop scanner, which is hard to find in sensible prices – I ordered several which cost a lot, hoping to sell the remainder on eBay as a test case.

There are already RepRap stores in the UK – is there appetite for another, and what would be a useful addition to the market for people here?

Cheers,

Alex Gibson

Would I like another shop that sells obscure things that I need but are hard to get hold of?  Who isn't going to say yes.  Is that likely to be financially/time&effort viable for you?  I don't think so, it doesn't make very good business sense to target power users in a small market, except if you tack it on the side of a more consumer oriented one. Although I guess things arn't all about business.

Hello Alex,
It might be worth talking to Gary as he has experience with sales of the railway stuff, and it seems a similar market model to me. -Mike
