Hi all,

I've been so amazed by the Reactor and the Reactive Streams that I wanted to tell to my friends about them. So I wrote some kind of technical summary:

The text is in French but Google Translate does its job (the most ridiculous sentences are not the most important ones).

If you think that such a text in English could help as an introduction somewhere, I can reshape it a bit. Just let me know.

Thanks for the good work,

c.

Excellent! BTW I've got some more detailled stuff coming here http://projectreactor.io/docs/reference/ , I'll probably to try to borrow some of this description to help with the effort as multiple point of views constitute the most solid reference doc. I really enjoyed this, you should come over and help shaping the project.

We haven't announced the 2.x Release yet even if the artefacts are around and some users are already happily using them, but once we have a good guide ready we're good to fire up the proper announce.

Thanks for the awesome feedback :)

Eventually to help you there are some illustrations of the concept : http://projectreactor.io/docs/reference/images/RBP.png (pub/sub)

Glad you liked it!
I started looking at the draft of reference documentation. So far:
1) The Dodge is cool, definitely. Usually I prefer to keep pets out of technical documentation, but here it makes some sense, don't ask me why.
2) Introducing a brand new topic as the Reactor is hard.
3) The documentation you linked to is already quite useful even in its unfinished state. I started playing with Streams using this list and StackOverflow, and that was painful.

I'll tell you if I get more ideas.

Awesome, I set myself a tight deadline to finish a first publication by end of next week. The more you dig in the more you should understand the whole design and aggregate new module knowledge easily.
Especially cookbook, extensions and net module reuse/apply all of that.
