High level intro about the internal design and implementation of reactivemongo?

Are there any docs/materials about this? The docs listed here http://reactivemongo.org/releases/0.11/documentation/ are all 'user-facing' (have some advanced topics though).

I wonder if there are any docs introducing the high level architecture, internal design/implementation? Thanks!

You can find an overall presentation of ReactiveMongo design at http://reactivemongo.org/ , mainly the fact it's designed to be reactive and async.
For more details, you can have a look at the examples in the documentation, or even at the source repository.
